1.8 Growing Up and Winding Down

Welcome back, friends! I'd like to start today with a sweet little picture of Sasha and Milo doing some bonding :)

We also see miss Terri earning the daughter of the year award by washing her birthday cake dishes all on her own! Yay!

She then sat down and pulled Cuddles (that's the name her new IF doll had) out to play with him. Until this point, I had decided to change what the next life state in game will be because I didn't want to run the risk of  them not having an IF baby and not being able to cheat around it. But she looked so happy... :(

So......I rearranged some things in Sasha and Xavier's bedroom to make room for this. Screw it. You can't fight a true connection like the one between a genie girl and her IF doll :( I'm just gonna stay positive and hope for the best.

Since she's the only one I can control, I sent Sasha right to work. Working up to that IF potion while having to go to work herself AND maintain the household is gonna be a challenge, so I didn't wanna waste any time. Every free second she has right now is spent at this lab station. The things a mother will do for her daughter!

Meanwhile, over in Roy's bedroom the guitar playing room, the rest of the family has gathered to listen to Fiona play. She must be doing pretty good, Virginia's got that "I'm so cool sitting here listening to this guitar player" face goin' on :D

Soon enough it was time for bed. However, along the way, little miss Terri decided she couldn't hold it any longer. And I had such high hopes for her after the dishes thing D: Apparently Fiona was reminded by this of her dire need to pee. And Cuddles....was not impressed, hahaha :)

Of course, what better place for Fiona to have a pee fail than right on top of her sister's pee fail? LOOK at that face!

Never-the-less, it was bed time. I used Terri's free child action to show her to her nifty new loft bed. Soon after, all the other kids went to their own beds on their own :D My pride in them was restored...even though it was really late and they hardly got any sleep at all. And Sasha had time to clean up the pee puddles, disgusting toilet (which amazes me with how little they seem to use it -_-) and other such fun things.

I won't lie to you guys, this is honestly just a shameless excuse to show off her super cute everyday wear :)

Yes, the previous picture does indicate that a new day has dawned on our beloved Andrie family! The kids are all at school and Sasha is at work. Xavier takes advantage of this golden alone time to play his guitar some more! Such angst...

After school, the lack of sleep caught up with Fiona who passed out...in front of the school...again...in the rain. Why does she always have to pass out when there's weather?!

When she got home, I had Sasha use the "go to bed" action. Thankfully, she went.

Roy and Virginia made me proud by sitting down to do their homework together on their own! The little boy in the background is a friend that Virginia brought home with her. You may also notice the massive stink cloud radiating from Roy. Oh, that's nasty...

Terri made sure to make time for secrets with her IFBFF :) The little dark haired boy in the orange sweater is a friend that Roy brought home with him.

Roy's little friend turned out to be a werewolf. It just happened to be a full moon that night. Damnit.

Really, Xav? Those extra two inches were too much of a stretch for you?

It's yet another new spring day in Moonlight Falls. This one, however, is special. It's Roy's teen birthday! It's ALSO finally time for Xavier's adult birthday! But first...

EEEEEEEE!!!! :D:D:D:D

(Sorry. I get really excited when genie children do that.) Anywho, on to the festivi - waaaait a minute! Sasha has a phone call from Mr. Van Gould! He called to.....ask her on a date. Yes, Ayden, we all know that Xavier is a little quirky and he pees himself when he's standing right in front of the toilet (fume), but Sasha is a (surprisingly) happily married woman. And, no, she doesn't want to know if the rumor is true that "once you go vamp, you never go back."

Now, as I was saying, back to the festivities! First up, we have Roy. This picture also represents that Roy has gotten on the honor roll!!! Yeeeeaaaaahhh!!

I randomly rolled Roy's trait and he got....brooding. Hahaha...oooh yes...a brooding teenage boy? This will be epic fun :D

And finally, we have everybody's favorite genie stepping up to the plate for his birthday! The family gathers around him to celebrate and eat lots and lots of cake!

And that is where I leave you all for the evening! As you can see, we are winding down this generation of One Life State to Live! I'm pretty excited :D About two more chapters before it's Terri's turn to take the reigns. We'll have a couple big birthdays coming up in the next installment! Hope you enjoyed this update! Unfortunately, even though we have the positive addition of Roy making the honor roll, we're still at a negative. In fact, we gain negative points today! We have lots to document, so let's get right to it.

1.7 Snowflake Day and On to Spring!

Ah, Snowflake Day. Only once a year does such a magical day fall upon the citizens of Moonlight Falls! A day filled with family, friends, laughter, and....PRESENTS!! Ok, but seriously...the family and friends part is more important. But still...PRESENTS!! The Andries decided to ring in the holiday with a good, old fashioned gift exchange party. They invited a bunch of friends...but only one person showed up D: Nevertheless, first up was miss Fiona! Their one guest, Ayden Van Gould, proved to be the boss of gift giving because he gave her a guitar!

Xavier was next, and he also received a guitar!

Xavier: Mr. Van Gould, are you a magician?! HOW did you fit that guitar in this little box?!

Ayden: ...seriously?

Next up was our lovely founder herself, Sasha. In her bathing suit. Insane sim is insane. Anywho, Sasha received a lovely plant. And at that very moment, Xavier was hit with the need to pee!

Our very generous guest was allowed to take his turn next. The Andries returned the generosity and gifted him a microwave!

Xavier: So I told Shalonda, giiiiirl, he ain't worth your time! You need to move on!

Ayden: I can't believe Sasha's married to this tool...

Virginia received an invigorating elixir from Ayden. By the looks of it, he could tell she really enjoyed her gift!

Virginia: Look, daddy! Mr. Van Gould gave me an elixir!

Xavier: Yeah, that's great, sweetie. Now can you move it? I wanna get on that peeing thing I've been needing to do...

And Roy...got nothing D: He didn't get to open a present...and I felt really sad for him. But, the show must go on. After the gift giving party, Ayden headed home and the Andries settled down for a Snowflake Day feast.

I attempted to send the family to the winter festival when they finished eating, but they didn't really do much while they were there. I did manage to get a shot of Fiona snowboarding!

After they all headed home, Fiona decided to try out her new guitar. She was a natural :)

A little while later, she went to bed. Xavier used that opportunity to step into Roy's bedroom the guitar playing room and try his out as well. Little Terri, however, was ready for bed!

Apparently her crying was an inconvenience for Xavier -_-

Xavier: OMG SHE WON'T STOP CRYING! THIS IS MAKING ME SO UPSET!

Terri: SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!! *Wail*

Naturally, Xavier responded to this by....putting Terri back down on the floor and heading to the kitchen to have a chat with Fiona. So. Much. Fail.

Of course, our poor little girl passed out on the floor. I've never seen a toddler do this...I had no idea it was possible. I was debating on whether or not to count this against them, until I realized that the crib was somehow super glitched. For some reason, they couldn't interact with it at all. So since it was a glitch in the game, I'm cheating not counting it against myself. Still...look at the cute sleeping baby :)

I played for a few more minutes before getting super annoyed with my crib glitch. In that few minutes, Xavier made himself useful and made dinner.

I try not to use Bonehilda unless I have to, because I kind of feel like it's cheating. But, I gave in and had Sasha awaken her so that she could help out with the cleaning.

Spring bloomed the next day. Fiona and Sasha decided to start their Sunday with a pillow fight! From the looks of it, Fiona is boss.

Meanwhile, Virginia made her way outside to make a classic snowman! Yes, Spring has sprung in Moonlight Falls, but there's still the matter of some snow to melt!

Soon enough, all of the Andrie clan was called to attention. For what, you may ask? Well for the birthday of our future torch holder, of course! As you can see, Roy was spending his morning as an astronaut :)

Why, yes, our beautiful torch-holder-to-be has blossomed into a child. I randomly rolled her trait, which was hydrophobic. How unfortunate...for her ;) For me, I am sure it will provide many moments of comedic relief! She is one step closer to taking over this crazy house and continuing on the family legacy. And from the looks of it, she's already got some gears turning in her head about what she plans to do when the ball is in her court ;)

And that is where I leave you all for today! I hope you've enjoyed this installment of One Life State to Live! And I thank you being patient with me through the holiday madness :) It's a new year, friends! I encourage you all to go out and make it the best one yet! May life bring you happiness, love, and courage through the rough spots. With that, let's take a look at our scorecard! We have no new fails or points to add, so we are still sitting at a negative for now.

1.6 The Epic Chapter of Changes and Pee Fails

HELLO, lovely readers! I want to thank you all for your extraordinary patience while I figured out the mess that was my computer/game/Seasons. I was dealing with some tremendous lag, but we are BACK! I still think a new PC will be in order sooner rather than later, but...my game is running decently enough for me to play, which is good enough for me...for now :)

So, as you can probably guess by the title of this chapter, there have been quite a few changes in the Andrie household since our last update. To start, Fiona has blossomed into a beautiful teenager! Upon aging up, she gained the heavy sleeper trait, via random roll.

Terri gained a new hairstyle. In the process of reducing my lag, I got rid of all my CC. I didn't get all of it back (and probably never will). I just found the few key pieces that I've always had/must have in game. So she got this cute little hairstyle instead :)

The girls got new bed sheets. The old design was part of the CC I never retrieved. This would be Fiona laying down for a nap at 7:30 am, on a school day, after a night of getting NO SLEEP and having her sleep motive ALL THE WAY DOWN. *Facepalm* But, it's ok...she looks super cute, so all is forgiven  :D

All too soon, the bus arrived. You can see by their snazzy new outerwear that winter has arrived in Moonlight Falls! Miss Fiona is very cranky...I suppose a night of NO sleep will do that to you! *Ok, I lied. Still fuming.*

The fuming reached the boiling point at the end of the day, however. Even though the school day was over, Fiona decided she couldn't just get through the bus ride home and chose to pass out on the school steps instead. In the snow. *Sigh* Fail.

Back at the homestead, we see our next change...Bonehilda has gotten a new dress. This one is just stupid...I accidentally deleted her old coffin. When I placed a new one, she had a new dress. Oops. Oh well...I like the black better anyways ^_^

Our next change to note is a REALLY strange one. Terri's IF doll disappeared, which I didn't think much of because sometimes that glitch happens. However, the next day, she was sitting on the floor and whipped this guy out...new IF doll, different from her old one. I have never seen that happen before...is that new? Either way, I'm happy, because now my plan to have her marry an IF as the next life state can continue :D (Though they seriously had better have one of their own...I can't cheat around that one like I could have with the genies D: Now I'm angry...might need to re-think that one...)

I bought the kids a costume chest, which they took to quite well. Roy uses it at least once a day :) His first task was taking on mammoths while dressed as a dinosaur...?

Dinner came next, and you will see that the family has upgraded to a nicer, bigger dinner table :) It's even dinosaur friendly!

*Side note...Milo's food bowl is different, too. I don't remember why. Probably same thing as what happened with Bonehilda's coffin.

Our final change to note is that Fiona actually started doing her homework. On her own. Yeah, that's a sad change to be excited about, isn't it? Oh well. Look at the concentration!

After dinner, Roy decided to try out life as an astronaut while Virginia tried seeing things from a dinosaur's prospective.

Roy then decided it was bed time, and promptly found....his sister's bed. Oh well...at least he found A bed, right?!

The next morning, Virginia decided she was above the whole school thing and skipped (and on field trip day, oh no!). Xavier was NOT ok with that!

Naturally, after getting scolded for skipping, Virginia decided to go outside and....make a snowman. Right. Glad to see Xavier's lesson set in.

Back inside...Sasha broke the sink.

While waiting for the repairman, I noticed Virginia decided to make a snow angel. I used this as an opportunity to show off their cute house, complete with snow filled yard and festive lights :D

As you can see in the above picture, the repairman showed up. Awesome, right? No. In fact, nothing awesome about it. The repairman went inside, apparently found himself attracted to Xavier, and then went outside to talk to him for a few hours. Then he left. Without even going near the sink. Yeah...glad I paid for that >.<

So, Sasha got to it. I suppose I could have awoken Bonehilda, but she's started doing that super annoying thing where she just keeps pulling food out of the fridge constantly. It was driving me nuts, so I sent her back into her little prison box coffin. I was still annoyed enough to not let her out yet. Oh well, nothing wrong with Sasha picking up some skillage.

At this point, a sleep deprived Virginia headed inside to catch some z's. However, her father caught her in time to ask her how her day was.

Xavier: Well, sweetie, since you completely disregarded my lecture this morning about skipping school and stayed home to play in the snow, did you have a good time?

Virginia: I'll have a better time if you'd let me go to bed....

Later that night...SNOW ZOMBIE! He was trying to mimic the thought bubble zombie :)

I decided to have Sasha work on some of Terri's skills with her for a bit, starting with walking.

She then decided to take Fiona out to learn how to drive. I forgot, that's one more change that's been made...I upgraded them to a little more spacious vehicle :) Sasha's promotions have been rolling right along, and it's nice to have a little extra money coming in!

Morning came, and it brought with it a snow day for the kiddos! So how could such an awesome day be spent? With EVERYONE PEEING THEMSELVES. Xavier got the party started first thing in the a.m.

And instead of cleaning it up....he did this. Oh Xavier.

Milo: Dude...

Meanwhile, in the normal corner of the house, Sasha and Terri worked on talking.

Fiona decided to be daughter of the year and cleaned the shower, all on her own :)

When she finished, she headed outside with Xav, Virginia and Roy to take part in an evening snowball fight! Too cute <3

But, as the title suggests, the day wouldn't be complete without the pee party closing it off. First up, Virginia...in the kitchen. Oh, that's nasty.

And immediately after that, it was Fiona's turn. And then I noticed Sasha was DANGEROUSLY close...and that would have been extremely embarrassing, considering I can actually control her and all. So off to the bathroom she headed to save me from yet ANOTHER stinky, wet fail.

And with that, this update closes. Tune in next time for some birthdays as we get closer to passing Terri the torch of insanity :) For now, let's update our scorecard:
